A community organisation dedicated to the conservation of the natural environment across the Rockingham Forest Area in North Northamptonshire.
Aims are still to be decided but could include some of the following:
1) networking for existing groups, projects and individual action, (sharing information, by mailing group, website, facebook(?) etc. Providing publicity and recruiting help for projects)
2) Coordinate a programme of outdoor and indoor events (e.g. guided walks, reserve visits, conservation work parties, wildlife monitoring and training, talks)
3) Encourage the re-forestation of North Northants. ("Lets make Rockingham Forest great again" ??) . See the wider landscape of Rockingham Forest
4) Influence planning matters, particularly with the new Unitary Authority, by providing a strong, professional, authoritative, response to maximise benefits to nature conservation.
5) Promote wildlife recording across the area.
